January 2006

My birthday was quiet and uneventful. I made a box mix carrot cake for myself. The last winter in Boston really destroyed me with the arthritis that I have inherited. Sometimes I feel much older than I am. As I mentioned before, the doctor in Boston did not recommend hormone treatment, she said the consequence can be worse than the years of passing menopause. I have known women who have had nervous breakdowns and now I totally understand why.

My case is still pending for further investigation. With the elections and the holidays, the courts are very slow as well. I am frustrated but waiting patiently. My plan is to return as soon as the case is finalized. I was hoping earlier than now but I guess that was wishful thinking. I am truly sorry for the delay.

I definitely do not miss the cold weather and cringe at the idea of snow and cold. However, please don't feel bad. It has been raining everyday for months and the evenings are cold. I had to borrow 2 blankets to keep warm. I washed clothes two days ago and they are still wet. Everytime the sun might peak out I hung them on the line it would start to rain again. Very frustrating. So, with the cold, rain and change of temperature many people are sick with the flu. Last week I felt bad about 4 days but got some high potent liquid vitamins at the pharmacy and felt better soon.
