We have returned to the DR (Anny, grandmother and me) in September. Anny had surgery on her eyes and one eye had two surgeries. She is able to see after two years. She said to me, "Patricia, you are so beautiful". To her grandmother she said, "Mommy, you are so fat". I guess I should be flattered. Nice compliment for me but not for her grandmother. Her eye lashes were curling under on one eye and the eyelid had to be reconstructed. I am not able to publish anything about her on the website, neither activities there in Boston or here. The hospital has a policy regarding patient confidentiality.
Anny is in school and she says she has many body guards, school mates protecting her and lending a helping hand. She will be invited back to the Boston hospital for more surgeries but must take a time out to allow other kids an opportunity fo surgeries. I must quickly tell you that there is hardly electricity in the daytime and no one ever knows when it will come on in the evenings. It has also been raining a lot here and therefore, no electricity. Therefore, I apologize for not writing when I said. It was not possible with the weather. The little internet cafe is very noisy. The kid managing it looks to be about 10 to 12 years old, plays rap music very loud. The cafe is in the house and the kitchen is on the other side of the wall with an iron bar opening. The mother is cooking dinner, washing and banging pots and pans and it is very difficult to concentrate. Boys are outside the door talking loud and goofing off. I was able to sell the Chevy the day before leaving Boston. When we returned I was staying at a apartment-hotel type complex very cheap. The following day I was at the pool relaxing and someone (obviously an employee) entered my room with a key and stole nearly all the money from my purse. I got a lawyer through the church and went to the prosecuting attorney. The prosecuting attorney says the hotel is responsible for its clients, the hotel says they are not responsible because I did not put the money in the safe. The safe key cost money and I didnīt want to spend the extra money for the key. I had my purse under a heavy suitcase with clothes on top the suitcase. I learned from the police that there were 5 other incidents the same where the guests were at the pool and someone entered the room with a key and the door was not forced. I am hoping the case will go in my favor. |
